SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach in Ocean City

FREE pre-screening and application assistance available December 4, 11 and 18

The SNAP Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of NJ/Southern Branch will visit the Neighborhood & Social Services office in Ocean City on December 4, 11, and 18 to help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will be there from 9:00am to 1:30pm and help those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available. Neighborhood & Social Services is located at 821 Central Ave.

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches, and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million New Jersey residents.
