New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill's 2026-27 budget includes a record $12.4 billion in state aid. See what Ocean City schools will receive.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Gov. Mikie Sherrill's proposed budget for 2026-27 includes $12.4 billion for aid to the state's 574 public school districts. Here's how much of that will go towards the Ocean City School District.

On Thursday the state Department of Education released the aid figures for each district. Similar to 2025-26, most aid increases were capped at 6 percent, and the majority of aid cuts were capped at 3 percent.

The Ocean City School District will see an increase of 0.60 percent. That's an increase of $29,574 for a total state aid of $4,930,984.
