'Summer Of Love Concert' Celebrates Music Of The 1960s In Ocean City This Summer

Relive the sounds of the 1960s on the Ocean City Music Pier.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The final act of the Summer Concert Series on the Ocean City Music Pier has been announced. The "Summer of Love Concert" consists of 12 or more performers celebrating the musical era between the release of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” by The Beatles in 1967 and the Woodstock Music and Art Festival in 1969, Bob Rose and BRE Presents announced on Tuesday. It is set for Monday, Aug. 7, 8 p.m.

The performance will include a horn section strings, keyboardists, percussionists, background vocalists and an incredible rock rhythm section. It aims to re-create “note for note and absolutely live” the songs and the psychedelically flavored spirit of the Woodstock Generation. Tickets go on sale on Thursday at ticketmaster.com.
