Surf Fishing Tournament In Ocean City Set For Aug. 19
After a postponement of one week, the tournament is set to go off on Saturday.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — After a postponement of one week, the 42nd annual Ocean City boys and girls surf fishing tournament is set to go off on Saturday. The tournament takes place on Saturday, Aug. 19, at the north beach by the Ocean City-Longport Bridge.
Registration for the free tournament for youngsters ages 8-16 years old will be held from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., followed by the tournament from 10 a.m.-noon. Prizes include trophies, rods and reels, and two bicycles for the boy and girl who reel in the largest fish. For more information, call 609-814-0216.
The tournament was originally scheduled for Aug. 12, but was postponed one week due to inclement weather. This weekend's forecast still calls for a chance of showers, but chances of rain are only about 30 percent. The high is expected to be 84 degrees, according to the National Weather Service out of Mount Holly.
