Post-Labor Day, not many Jersey Shore beaches have lifeguards. These ones will this weekend:

JERSEY SHORE, NJ — After Labor Day, traffic starts slowing down at the shore. But seasonally speaking, it's still summer, and you can still head to the beach.

After a deadly Labor Day weekend, shore town officials are urging more than ever to be safe and only swim at guarded beaches. Swimmers got caught in rip currents, and most of the issues occurred after the lifeguards had gone home for the evening.

If you're looking to beat the heat this weekend with a dip in the ocean, these beaches will have lifeguards.

Beachgoers can also check out the website Safe Beach Day, in use for beaches in Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth and Ocean counties. This allows lifeguards to directly update exactly which beaches are guarded, along with other important information like temperature, wave height and more.

Many of these have only select beaches guarded. Check Safe Beach Day beforehand to see which exactly are open.
