Those Displaced By Ocean City House Fire Still In Need
While some impacted by the multi-family house fire on Jan. 27 were able to return home, others are still in need.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — While some of the people impacted by the multi-family house fire on Jan. 27 have returned to their dwelling, housing is sought for those who were living in the area most damaged by the fire.
As of Friday morning, more than $12,000 had been raised for the multiple families who were impacted by the fire.
According to an update on the GoFundMe, created by local nonprofit organization El Pueblo Unido, six residents of the detached rear cottage on the property were able to return to their apartments on Monday.

They had been temporarily displaced due to an uncontained gas leak, but now have heat, electricity and running water, El Pueblo Unido said.
But more are unable to return home, and El Pueblo Unido is searching for apartments in the area to house these families.

The nonprofit is also working with local churches, organizations, businesses and neighbors to provide for these families. Anyone looking to help is encouraged to contact El Pueblo Unido.
The main priority of El Pueblo Unido right now is finding the the following apartments to rent:
- Three Bedroom Apartment For one Family of four including one Child in OC
- Three Bedroom Apartment For one Family of five including three Children in OC
- Three Bedroom Apartment for a group of three Individuals anywhere in Ocean City, Linwood, Somers Point, or nearby communities.
- Two Bedroom Apartment anywhere in Ocean City, Linwood, Somers Point, or nearby communities.
- One Bedroom Apartment anywhere in Ocean City, Linwood, Somers Point, or nearby communities.
