Tiffany Prettyman Returns to Fill Vacancy on Ocean City School Board

A special election will be held in November.

Tiffany Prettyman has returned to a familiar role, serving with the Ocean City Board of Education, the Ocean City Gazette reports.

She was appointed to fill the seat left vacant when Ray Clark resigned effective May 14. It will be the third time she serves on the board.

Prettyman will occupy the seat through the end of the year. A special election will be held in November to fill the remaining year of Clark’s three-year term, according to the report.

She was appointed to a board seat in 2006, before being elected to a three-year term that ended in 2010. In 2012, she was appointed once more, filling the seat left vacant when Antwan McClellan was elected to council. She served until 2014.

She is a social studies teacher at Mainland Regional High School, wife of Ocean City Police Capt. Jay Prettyman and mother of two daughters.
