“This place was a pleasant surprise. I was on vacation in ocean city, NJ and stumble across this place on my last night there, my family and I was looking for a sit Down restaurant but we gave it a shot it's more of a cafeteria style place. I got the crab cakes which were delicious my wife got the chicken teriyaki dinner was outrageous. It was so good my wife made me go back the next day to buy a bottle of teriyaki before we left. So we decide to have lunch here before we drove back home to NY best move we'd did I had Mahi Mahi sandwich with mango salsa and my wife got salmon salad both were great I'm actually looking forward to going back to Ocean city next year and come here that's how good it was.”

“Had an excellent meal. I had Hawaiian chicken Cathy had shrimp Scampi. The rice and sauce are good. The salad with house Dressing is the best. It's very busy in the evening. Service was great. Only downfall is everybody standing around waiting to take your table.”

“Hula is one of the healthier restaurants on the boardwalk with grilled and fried options. Between our group of 8, I was able to sample everything on the menu. The group favorite was the firecracker shrimp. The highly recommended hula chicken was okay. It was on the overcooked dry side, but the hula sauce made up for it. The hula sauce is a very sweet, pineapple-y sauce that they coat their chicken or shrimp in. You can also buy it by the bottle at the register. If you like crab cakes, a lot of people in our group enjoyed them here.”

Ike’s Famous Crabcakes (4 stars). Some sample reviews:

“So so good! Far superior than what I've come to expect from a place on the boardwalk. The crab cake was very good and the old bay wrap I had it in did not disappoint. I opted for the salad over Cole slaw and that was good and fresh too! Again, just not what I'd expect from boardwalk food.
We ordered the fish sticks for the kids and they were excellent! Good portions, handmade, fresh and the batter was really tasty. The baskets also came with their signature spiral chips. Our other meals included the fish tacos which were the same as the fish in the kids baskets and the soft shell crab sandwich, also good. The fried clam strips mega basket was good, but not what I'd call "mega". Definitely order the house made sweet tropical tea, it was delicious and just a side note, decaffeinated. We will be back!”

“First, You must get their iced tea. I don't drink juice or any drinks with added sugar (excluding cocktails) and this was not too sweet. They cut lemons, lime and oranges and let them sit in the fresh brewed tea mmm. For my meal I chose the fried shrimp and house made chips. The shrimp were on the smaller side and the spiral of "chips" could have been crispier (note to self: ask for them crispier next time) however, prices were fair with portion size. The chicken tender kid's meal is huge. My fiancé's crab cake dinner was fresh but the crab cakes on the smalller side. The crab & corn chowder is a must order; sweet yet hearty. Our waitress provided excellent service and was very present during our visit. She was quick with drinks, refills, and cutlery. No waiting around because your waitress forgot your fork going on here. If like me, you find yourself starving and need more than a snack, find your way over to this tiny seafood boardwalk restaurant and you won't be disappointed. Also, you can park your surrey right in front, if needed.”

“This was a spur of the moment stop for me and my girlfriends while we were in Ocean City, NJ for vacation. We were coming off of a 4 hours drive and didn't arrive in OC until after 8PM. Ike's was one of the few places that was still open and thank the universe for that! The spot was right on the boardwalk and I really liked the high backed booths - it made the open dining experience seem more private. I had the Yellowtail Tuna tacos royal style which made it perfectly spicy and crunchy. My two friends each had the fish tacos (grilled and fried) and they inhaled them as well. We all commented on the uniqueness of the butterfly fries. I think they could be a bit crunchier though. We had to try their crabcake and wow - chunks of delicious crab. I wish I remembers the names of the sauces, because the 3rd one the waitress pointed out was so so good. If you are on the boardwalk make sure you go here for a really great meal.”

16th Street Seafood (3.5 stars). Some sample reviews:

“Excellent Maryland Crabs. We have had them there 3 times this season. Tonight was the best!! BTW, all were crab lovers and have been for years. Also, cocktail shrimp and fresh salmon was very good. I would recommend them!!”

“We ordered their Maryland Blue Crabs for Father's Day! We called early and put our order in for 7. Called back at 6 and added more food. The staff was fabulous and our order was perfect! I see another reviewer stated the crabs were bad but not only myself and my husband but 2 of 3 of our children ate them and nobody had any problems. Their steamed clams and chicken fingers were out of this world. The calamari while tender did need a little more salt and the clams casino, while gigantic, were a little bready. Overall, great experience will be back!!!!”

“Crab legs were great. Cooked to perfection as they were easy to crack and eat. Plenty of food and decent price for a shore point restaurant. Will be returning next time I'm on the island.”
