Y.A.L.E. School Presents Workshop on “Effectively Dealing with Challenging Behaviors in Youth”

National Leader Presents Strategies to Support Special Education Professionals

Northfield, NJ – Y.A.L.E. School, a private school serving students with emotional, behavioral, social and learning disabilities, will host a free workshop for parents, area educators and service providers. Nationally recognized author and speaker, Dr. ‘Buzz’ Mingin, will present the workshop, “Effectively Dealing with Challenging Behaviors in Youth”. The hour and a half long program will be held on December 8, 2016 at the school’s Northfield campus located at 1000 Burton Avenue in Northfield.

Recognizing the need for educators and parents to effectively manage challenging behaviors in students, Y.A.L.E. School has invited Dr. ‘Buzz’ to teach attendees how to develop an emotionally intelligent classroom using ‘hands-on’ tools to both communicate and understand negative and positive behavior choices. Attendees will also gain on overview of how ‘outreach services’ are acquired and utilized in both the community and home for children who are in behavioral and emotional crises.

The presenter, Dr. ‘Buzz’ Mingin, is a popular speaker specializing in children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disorders. He has published several books, is the president of Buzz’s Bookworm Inc., a support center for students with behavioral and emotional afflictions, and the director of World Karate Studio, a martial arts program that teaches social skills and behavioral management to children with disabilities.

This program is offered as an outreach service to the community in and around Northfield, NJ. There is no cost for the workshop however registration is required. Educators can earn 2 credit hours for attending.
