30-Year Paramus Police Officer Dennis Wirth Dies
Wirth retired as a lieutenant. He was a certified public accountant, an avid skier and an Eagle Scout.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Dennis Wirth, 65, of Paramus and a 30-year borough police officer died Monday.
He was a 31 year member of the Paramus Police Department, retiring a lieutenant. He was a member of Paramus PBA Local 186.
He was a certified public accountant, an avid skier, Eagle Scout and a New York Yankees fan.

He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen.
He is survived by his children Kristina Ferreira, and her husband Derek, and Dennis; granddaughter Kaylee; brothers of Michael, and his wife Linda, and Thomas, and his wife Kathy; in-laws Chip and Connie Harper, Joe and Lee Harper and Rosemary Harper; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Bryan, Joey, Molly, Michael, Steven and Kristen.

Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave. in Paramus. A funeral service will be at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m. followed by an 11:30 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation. Cremation will be private.
The family asks that memorial contributions in his memory be made to The Valley Hospital Foundation, care of The Valley Hospital Luckow Pavilion Infusion Unit, 223 N. Van Dien Ave. Ridgewood N.J. 07450
