Adoption Applications Available For Just Pups Puppies
Dogs were found in a near-freezing cold van outside of the Just Pups store last month.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Applications to adopt one of the 67 puppies found inside a Just Pups van last month are available on the borough website.
All potential adopters must first submit an application. Those approved will be given a special adoption identification card that they must display to enter the borough hall and see the puppies.
Adoptions are by appointment only. No one will be allowed on the property "just to see the puppies," according to the borough.

The puppies were found inside a van at near-freezing temperatures outside of the Paramus Just Pups store on Route 17, police said. Some of the dogs were covered in urine and feces, many of which were crammed into cages they couldn't even stand up inside of, authorities said.

Store owner Vincent LoSacco and his brother, Leonard, have each been charged with 134 counts of animal cruelty. Leonard LoSacco parked the van outside the store after he picked the dogs up from his brother's dog-breeding business in Missouri. Vincent LoSacco said a veterinarian was going to look at the dogs only a few hours after the police discovered them.
