American Diabetes Association Makes "Your First Mud Run" Team
The American Diabetes Association of NJ will be participating in a family-friendly mud run at Garret Mountain on August 7.
The American Diabetes Association has created a team to fundraise and participate in a “Your First Mud Run” event. The run will take place on August 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Garret Mountain in Paterson, NJ. The run is a 1.5-2 mile course comprised of approximately 16 obstacles designed for families (with children ages 6 and up) to participate in together.
The North Jersey “Your First Mud Run” is the mostly family friendly course in New Jersey, and the only course in the country where adults and kids can run together. The obstacles include a mud pit, wall climb, tire carry, heavy jump rope, and a mystery obstacle, among many others. The American Diabetes Association is inviting families to join Team Diabetes for this event. Members of Team Diabetes will receive complimentary registration, an exclusive Team Diabetes shirt, access to the Team Diabetes hospitality tent, a personalized fundraising webpage to help them meet the $200 fundraising minimum, and an invitation to a post-event party with food and prizes. People living with diabetes can participate in the run as “Red Striders.”
“Your First Mud Run” partners with charities to help make a difference in the communities that host their events. People interested in joining Team Diabetes can visit diabetes.org/firstmudrun to register and receive more information. Interested participants can also search for and join the “Team Diabetes-Your First Mud Run” Facebook page.
