• Shoplifting suspect rammed police cars at NJ mall, cops say (wearenewjersey.com) — Paramus police arrested three men outside Westfield Garden State Plaza after officers say the driver of a Mercedes rammed several police vehicles during a shoplifting crackdown. The car was allegedly tied to earlier robberies in Tenafly and at the mall's Gucci store, and one officer was treated at a hospital for injuries.
   

• Paramus to Begin Tree Planting: 400 Newcomers (tapinto.net) — Paramus will start a major tree maintenance and planting push this September, removing hundreds of stumps and dead or damaged trees while adding 400 new maples, elms, cherries, and zelkovas. Borough officials say the Shade Tree Department can also remove hazardous or sidewalk-damaging trees, with funding coming from the Shade Tree Commission Trust.
   

• Berkeley Hills, Sherman Oaks + Piedmont named California's most stressful school runs by parents. (ourweekly.com) — Parents in Paramus might recognize themselves in a new national survey that ranks the borough's school run as the ninth most stressful in the country. Heavy commuter traffic, tight school zones, and packed family schedules all contribute, mirroring broader findings that many parents feel anxious before they even leave home and stay stressed long after drop-off.
