• Paramus Acts to Protect Designated Historic Properties With New Guidelines (tapinto.net) — Paramus officials have adopted a new ordinance requiring written approval for most exterior work on designated historic properties in the borough, with fines of up to $2,000 per day for violations. Emergency repairs can proceed without prior approval, but longer-term restoration must go through the Historic Preservation Committee's Certificate of Appropriateness process, which includes timelines for decisions and appeals.
