โ€ข Opioid settlement spending shows need for more oversight, NJ advocates warn (newsfromthestates.com) โ€” Paramus used $4,200 in opioid settlement money for a free awareness concert, one of many New Jersey towns funding public events rather than direct treatment or recovery services. Harm reduction advocates say such choices show why the state needs stronger oversight and transparency so settlement dollars more clearly support people directly affected by the overdose crisis.
