Authorities Seize 1 Pound Of Marijuana From Paramus Man's Home: Prosecutor

Dustin Schwarz, 23, was in possession of $3,500 worth of controlled dangerous substances, authorities said.

PARAMUS, N.J. — A borough man was charged with possession with the intent to distribute after authorities seized more than a pound of marijuana, suspected steroids, and drug paraphernalia that were found in his E. Midland Avenue home Monday, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Authorities discovered that Dustin Schwarz was in possession of one pound of marijuana, suspected steroids, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and distribution of controlled dangerous substances, Grewal said.

The charges stem from an investigation by the prosecutor's office Narcotics Task Force, the Bergen County Sheriff's Department and the Paramus Police Department.

Schwarz, 23, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute, and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, namely marijuana, within 1,000 feet of the Palisades Learning Center, Grewal said.

Schwarz is scheduled to be arraigned May 25 at 8:30 a.m. in Paramus Municipal Court. He was released on summonses.
