Event is free to Bergen County residents.
The Bergen County Utilities Authority will host a Hazardous Waste Collection this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Moonachie campus on Empire Blvd.
The drop-off is free to all county residents carrying an ID. Residents can bring any “hazardous wastes” that they need to safely throw away.

There are some materials the collection will not accept, including alkaline batteries, which can be thrown away normally, unlabeled waste containers, containers with unknown substances, medical waste, radioactive materials, explosives, containers larger than five gallons, compressed cylinders, pressure-treated lumber, and tires.
This collection is not an e-waste collection, so computers, TVs, and other electronics will not be accepted.
