Bergen County Academies Students Present Research at EXPO

Amazing Research Projects Are Presented At BCA Science Research EXPO

Hackensack – The Bergen County Academies hosted its first ISEF affiliated fair, the B.C.A. Research EXPO on Sunday, March 4th. Close to 200 Academy students took part in this event that included poster presentations and related activities. Student research projects were judged for prizes and the opportunity to represent the Bergen County Academies at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May.

Over 100 judges volunteered their time to judge this competition, as well as the final event which will take place on March 14th, where the eight finalists will present their research on the stage at the Bergen County Academies and two projects will be selected as winners.

The winning student researchers will win an all-expense paid trip to Pittsburgh where they will again present their research in hopes of winning additional awards and monetary prizes and recognition through Intel ISEF. The most coveted prize of $75,000 is awarded to the top Best in Category project. Students are judged in a variety of disciplines including engineering, mathematics, biochemistry, microbiology, plant and animal sciences, and cancer research.
