Bergen County Zoo Offers Free Admission For Fall, Winter Seasons

Side of the aisle aside, this election is stressful. Seeing zoo animals over the weekend? Less stressful.

PARAMUS, NJ — With updated coronavirus protocols in place, the Bergen County Zoo has begun their annual free admission season.

Free admission began Nov. 1 and will run until March 2021, according to the county.

According to the Friends of the Bergen County Zoo website, the zoo is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The train and carousel are open, weather permitting.

New guidelines instituted during the coronavirus pandemic are in place, which include:

  • Visitors and staff must wear masks
  • Capped capacity
  • "One directional" movement
  • Plexiglass separation between exhibits and humans
  • Hand sanitizer available throughout the zoo
