Bergen Nurse Practitioner Filled Fraudulent Prescriptions
A nurse practitioner distributed "several thousand" prescription pills through fraudulent prescriptions, prosecutors say.
PARAMUS, NJ — A nurse practitioner who operated a practice in Paramus and Saddle Brook faces drug offense charges after the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office said he was responsible for filling fraudulent prescriptions of Adderall and Oxycodone.
According to the prosecutor, Mathew Testino has been under investigation since March 2021. Testino, a nurse practitioner who operated Bergen Neurology and Pain Management in Paramus, and later in Saddle Brook, was involved in "fraudulently obtaining and signing prescriptions on approximately thirty separate occasions for substances including oxycodone and adderall."
Those fraudulent prescriptions resulted in the distribution of "several thousand" prescription pills.

Testino is charged with one count of second-degree distribution of Oxycodone, 13 counts of third-degree distribution of Adderall, 11 counts of third-degree distribution of Oxycodone, one count of third-degree obtaining CDS by fraud and one count of third-degree uttering a forged document.
He was taken to Bergen County Jail, where he awaits a first appearance in court.
