Board to Hear Mosque Application
Foundation hopes to open Borough's first mosque

An application to open the Borough's first mosque is scheduled to come before the Planning Board again Thursday.
The El-Zahra Foundation hopes to turn the building at 28 Farview Terrace, formerly home of the Arthur B. Fowler company.
The main problem with their application is that Borough code requires 66 spaces for a house of worship on that property, while there are only 32 at the site. Attorneys for the foundation have said the there is an agreement to rent parking with the to use 25 spaces at that lot.
