Board to Hear Plans for Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze

Board of Adjustment meets 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall

The Board of Adjustment meets Thursday to hear an application to open two restaurants at the Bergen Town Center.

Developers plan to tear down the building and construct a Bahama Breeze and an Olive Garden in its place.

Each restaurant will be one story high and located next to the other. The Board of Adjustment will need to grant relief from several zoning ordinances for construction plans to proceed.

Bahama Breeze locations often feature live music, which isn't permitted. Developers also plan a patio-style dining area, which also isn't allowed.

Bahama Breeze specializes in Caribbean-inspired cuisine, while the Olive Garden is an Italian-style restaurant.
