The woman parked at the restaurant Saturday night because she was uncomfortable driving in the snow and was going to stay parked there, Mordaga said. Investigators determined that the car was not running and that the tailpipe was clear of snow, police said.

The woman’s body has been turned over to the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.

If the woman’s death is deemed to be weather-related, it would be the third possible storm-related death in New Jersey associated with the nor’easter that blanketed the region with about two feet of snow over the weekend.
