Boss Baby Author Visits Memorial School in Paramus

Author & illustrator Marla Frazee spoke to students about the writing process and where they can get inspiration

Award-winning children’s book author and illustrator Marla Frazee traveled from California to visit Memorial School on Nov. 28. Students were excited to meet the author of the book that turned into a movie -- "The Boss Baby."

Talking about how a book gets made, Frazee reminded children that writing is not easy, but sticking with something is worth it. She told students to save the work they are proudest of in a shoebox, as it might serve as creative inspiration in their adult lives. Frazee’s most recent project was illustrating Hillary Clinton’s children’s book, "It Takes a Village."

Before leaving Memorial, Frazee signed her name to the author chair in the school library.
