Water Main Break Causes Major Delays At Parkway Interchange

A water main break caused major delays on the Garden State Parkway and Route 17 early Thursday, state transportation officials said.

The break was reported around 6:51 a.m, where emergency construction was taking place.

The right and center lanes of Route 17 North, including the ramp to the Garden State Parkway, between Century Road and Midland Avenue were closed Thursday morning, police said.

The lanes were to be closed for about five or six hours, police announced.
