Havana roots. New York edge. A voice and piano that command the room.
Pianist, vocalist, composer, and arranger Ariacne Trujillo brings the rhythmic richness of her native Cuba into conversation with jazz, classical music, R&B, blues, and soul. Her performances pair virtuosic piano playing with a powerful, expressive voice and arrangements full of personality.
Born in Havana and based in New York since 2002, Trujillo has performed, shared stages, or recorded with artists including Paul Simon, Paquito D’Rivera, Wynton Marsalis, John Scofield, and Esperanza Spalding. Her work as a composer is also featured in Terri Lyne Carrington’s New Standards, published by the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice.
Experience her musical range up close at Brvsh Cul7ur3 with an evening of Cuban rhythms, adventurous improvisation, and artistry that gives you every reason to lean in.
