Celebrate the Winter Solstice at Central Unitarian Church in Paramus on Dec. 21

Come dance and drum as we welcome the return of the sun!

Central Unitarian Church, Bergen County’s liberal religious community, offers a variety of Christmas week services beginning on Sunday morning, Dec. 21, with a lively all-ages Winter Solstice Celebration at 10:30 featuring drumming and dancing.

On Wednesday evening, Dec. 24, the congregation welcomes area families to a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service beginning at 7 o’clock with lessons and carols and music by the church choir and jazz band. The Christmas week services conclude in a prayerful spirit with a Service of Forgiveness and Healing led by the Rev. David M. Horst, Minister, on Sunday morning, Dec. 28, at 10:30.

Children and families are welcome. Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided on Sunday mornings. LGBT individuals and their families are warmly welcomed.

Central Unitarian Church, a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association, is located at 156 Forest Ave., Paramus, about one-mile north of Route 4.
