Chef on Demand's William Stevens Presents Cooking Demonstration at Chef Central in Paramus

Free Event Included Gluten-Free Recipes; Helpful Meal-Planning Tips and Shortcuts

Chef William Stevens of Chef on Demand, Bergen County’s premier personal chef service, recently presented a free cooking demonstration and tasting at culinary superstore Chef Central in Paramus, N.J.

During the informative demonstration, Chef Stevens shared helpful cooking techniques and meal-planning shortcuts, and prepared two of his signature gluten-free dishes: chicken and broccoli with gluten-free pasta, and a classic lemon curd dessert with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Those in attendance also learned how to make a traditional gluten-free roux which can be used to thicken soups, sauces and gravies. Chef Stevens then incorporated the roux into his pasta dish.

Founded by Stevens in 2011, Chef on Demand shops for all ingredients and prepares customizable gourmet meals and home-style dinners from clients’ home kitchens. During a free initial consultation, Stevens determines each customer’s food likes and dislikes, and identifies any food allergies or special dietary requests. A customized menu plan is created for each client, including snacks. Detailed reheating instructions are provided, and customers can choose from daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly meal plan options. The service is available seven days a week to residents throughout Bergen County. Delivery also is available.
