It's finally here—Election Day.

In Paramus, the council seats of Republicans Cathy Bentz and Maureen O'Brien are , with Democrats Maria Elena Bellinger and Joseph Lagana challenging.

The is among the most contentious in the state, with a Paramus resident on each side. Bergen County Freeholder Chairman John Driscoll is competing with Democrat Sen. Bob Gordon for his seat, while Hawthorne Mayor Richard Goldberg and Fernando Alonso look to defeat Assemblywoman and former Paramus Councilwoman Connie Wagner and Maywood Mayor Tim Eustace.

At the county level, Republicans Joel Brizzi and Anthony Rottino look to off the Freeholder Board entirely. Freeholder David Ganz will defend his seat, joined by Assemblywoman Joan Voss, who is running in place of Bernadette McPherson.

Democrat John Hogan and acting Clerk Elizabeth Randall are vying for her county-wide post, while Republican John Cimiluca hopes to end the 15-year reign of Michael Dressler as Bergen County Surrogate.

Voters must answer a ballot question this year on whether to allow sports betting in New Jersey.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polling locations are generally at the closest public school, but if you're unsure use the NJ Election Division's polling place search or call the Borough Clerk's office at (201) 265-2100 ext. 726.
