Fitness Club Vote Delayed

Developer to meet with neighbors Tuesday

A vote scheduled for Thursday on whether a developer can build a 30,000-square-foot fitness club to an existing building on Route 17 has been delayed until Oct. 6.

Laganella Property Management asked for the Planning Board to delay a vote on its application to . This will give the developer time to meet with nearby residents who oppose the gym plan, attorney Stephen Sinisi said.

Sinisi, who is representing Laganella, said his client was scheduled to meet with residents on Tuesday to address their concerns. At previous meetings, residents of Oliver Road said they feared that expanding the existing building would bring noise and traffic too close to their homes.
