Furniture Retailer Moving to Paramus
Bassett Furniture to fill half of former Circuit City space

A national furniture chain is filling the vacant half of the former location of Circuit City.
Bassett Furniture will move into the Paramus Towne Square on 240 Route 17 north.
The chain has more than 100 locations in North America. Merchandise includes upholstery, beds, dining, home storage and home entertainment.

The Planning Board approved the Basset Furniture application Thursday night.
According to William Dahn, the architect for the applicant, Bassett will have entrances on the south wall and on the west wall, which faces Route 17.

That wall has been mostly bare since Circuit City closed in 2009. XSRE and now Bassett Furniture will split the 40,000 square feet the electronics retail left vacant.
