PARAMUS, N.J. — John Karagiorgis, a fixture at Rutt's Hutt in Clifton who appeared on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," died of a massive heart attack, according to several reports.

Karagiorgis, a Paramus resident, was the son of Rutt's Hutt owner Nicholas Karagiorgis, NJ.com reported.

Karagiorgis, who was known as "Johnny The Greek" on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," got into a scuffle with the Melissa Gorga's husband Joe at the opening of then-cast member Kim DePaola's store, Posche 2 in Ridgewood in 2013.

Karagiorgis and his wife filed a civil lawsuit against Bravo, NBC, and the show's producers, alleging the scuffle was staged and that they were encouraged by the show's producers to start the fight, NJ.com reported.

Joe Gorga reportedly confronted John about remarks he allegedly made against Melissa.

The suit claimed claimed that Karagiorgis and his wife "suffered but are not limited to bruising, scarring, disfigurement, fractured bones, facial lacerations, mental anguish, psychological health problems, physical discomfort, pain and suffering, economic losses, and shame and embarrassment," the Inquisitor reported.
