Julius D. Ciulla, 101, Army Veteran
Ciulla will be remembered for his gentleness, kindness and loving spirit and for putting his family before himself, his obituary states.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Julius D. Ciulla, 101, of Paramus died Saturday.
He was predeceased by his wife Rose and siblings, Joseph, George, Victoria and Nina.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a freight cashier for Texas, Transport and Terminal Co. before retiring.
He was a founding parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church where he was an usher at Sunday Mass and worked Bingo games. He was a member and past president of the Holy Name Society and a member of the Catholic War Veterans.

He was a member of the Senior Pioneers of Paramus.
He is survived by daughters, Cynthia Martel and her husband John; Barbara Vander Veer and her husband Henry and Julia Vogt and her husband Donald; grandchildren Elizabeth Martel, Laura Cipolat and her husband Joseph, Lisa Vander Veer and Hailey Vogt; great-grandchild Aaron Ciplot; and many nieces, cousins, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Fairview Ave.; a funeral service will be at Vander Plaat at 9:30 a.m. Thursday followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Visitation R.C. Church. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland N.J. 07436.
