Learn How To Instagram Your Way To Food Stardom

Master classes taught by some of the most popular local food posters on Instagram will be held at Garden State Plaza.

PARAMUS, NJ — Some of the most popular "foodies" on Instagram and local chefs will offer their tips this weekend on how to use Instagram to turn one's food passion into a business.

The InstaYUM event Saturday features two days of classes, taught by food influencers, selfie stations and photo ops.

Food and artisan vendors will be on site selling Instagrammable items and the on-site bar will be offering cocktails and drinks.

Saturday

Session 1:
10 a.m.: "How to Shoot Food Like a Pro" with North Jersey Eat's Photographer Michael Karas

11:45 a.m.: Food and Podcasting: A Perfect Pairing," by Korsha Wilson from (@heritage_radio) A Hungry Society Podcast

Session 2:
1:30 p.m.: "How To Build an Instagram Community" with Cyd Katz (@newjerseyisntboring) influencer and owner of New Jersey Isn't Boring.
3 p.m.: "How We Quit Our Full Time Jobs To Eat For A Living," with Devour Power Media (@devourpower)

Session 3:
6 p.m. "How To Go Viral and Grow Your Social Media Presence" with Daniel DeMiglio (@Callahanshotdogs) owner and social media extraordinaire of Callahan's, internet eating sensation Blake from @blake_201, director of social media for Carlo's Bakery Nicole Valdes and Andrew of Boozyburbs (@boozyburbs).

Sunday

Session 1:
12:30 p.m.: "How To Use Instagram Effectively for your Brand/Business" with Cyd Katz (@newjerseyisntboring) owner of New Jersey Isn't Boring

Session 2:
3 p.m.: "How to Transform Your At-Home Food Hobby Into a Legitimate Food Business" with Lloyd Ortuoste (@Baonanas) owner and banana pudding expert at #Baonanas

The following food vendors will be there: Pop Pasta, Callahan's, Moffle Bar, Baonanas, Ono Grinds Poke, Tojo Kitchen, Eemas Cuisine, The Belgian Plate by Waffle It & Co., Hold My Knots, The Good Donut Shop, El Lechon De Negron, Caked Up, Sisig City, The Guac Spot, Popcorn For The People and Gyminies.

Tickets cost $20 for each session. All-day passes cost $45 for Saturday and $30 for Sunday admission, not including fees and sales tax.
