Local Teens Prepare 60,000 Meals for Area Food Banks
Not too late to volunteer. 14 and older. Go to JustServe.org

October 7, 2019: EMERSON, NEW JERSEY —Saturday, October 12, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, local teens will give up their Saturday afternoon to package 60,000 shelf stable meals for NJ food banks. What makes this event unusual is that a local teen group who wanted to make a difference against food insecurity has organized, led, and determined that all volunteers for meal packaging will be teens. The Keynote speaker is also a local youth who serves on the NJ’s FoodBank’s teen leadership council. The event will be held at 840 Soldier Hill Road, Emerson, NJ.
Registration is still open at JustServe.org for teens 14 and older who would like to volunteer.
All meals will be donated to local food banks through the FoodBank of NJ and is sponsored by Grains of Hope (https://gohnj.org/), a grassroots organization started in Pequannock New Jersey and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day.
