MG of BC Presents: "Fall Blooming Perennials & Plants for Late Season Garden Interest" Tues. Oct. 27 7:30 PM
At: County Administration Building One Bergen Plaza, Hackensack, N.J., 4th Floor Learning Center (Home of the County Extension Office)

We often overlook the vibrant fall colors that can be added to perennial gardens. The Master Gardeners of Bergen County bring us Bill Kolvek, who will help us brighten up the autumn palette, and give us the tools to create a fall garden masterpiece.
Bill is a familiar face to many of us. He is the owner of Bill Kolvek Perennials, a plant nursery started in 1987. It supplies the green industry and general public in Bergen County, NJ and Rockland County, NY. Bill Kolvek Perennials, in Chestnut Ridge, NY, offers a large selection of perennials, including grasses, ferns, vines, and woody plants.
Native plants are in demand these days as growers put more of them into production. There is a constantly changing array of all kinds of new cool plants coming around for plant lovers to try, assess and savor. That is Bill’s passion.
He teaches “Native and Exotic Ornamental Grasses” at the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, New York. We can also find Bill with his plants at the Ramsey Farmer’s Market on Sundays, starting in June, until the last Sunday in November.
