Mosque Application Before Board Again
Planning Board weighs sufficiency of parking

The El-Zahra Foundation's plan to open the Borough's first mosque will once again come before the Planning Board Thursday.
The board last heard the foundation's application . Then, the foundation's planner and a traffic consultant testified that the parking at the site was sufficient to support a mosque and that the traffic generated by the mosque would be minimal.
Parking is the main issue holding up the application. There are 32 spaces on-site, and the Borough requires 66 for the building's new use as a house of worship.
