New Shopping, Dining Center Approved For Route 17 In Paramus
BREAKING: Paramus Crossroads will be located very near the Westfield Garden State Plaza.
PARAMUS, NJ — Paramus Crossroads, a new 40,000-square-foot retail and dining center on Route 17, is slated to open in summer 2018.
Advance Realty will demolish an aging office building at 289-315 Route 17 South to pave way for a retail experience for the "modern shopper," Advance and Invesco Real Estate said in a joint press release issued Monday. Invesco is a global real estate investment management company. Paramus officials recently approved the project.
The location is at the intersection of Route 17 and the Garden State Parkway — very close to the Westfield Garden State Plaza. Demolition will begin in the summer. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018.

“We’re extremely excited to receive the approvals from the Borough of Paramus, and we look forward to bringing exciting new shopping and dining options to an area," said Peter J. Cocoziello, Advance Realty’s CEO.
The center will be accessible from Route 17 South and a jughandle at Midland Avenue on Route 17 North. Signs for the center will be placed on both sides of Route 17 and the Garden State Parkway.
More than 120,000 people live within 3 miles of the center and 250,000 people within five miles, Advance said.
“Paramus Crossroads’ prime location, in the heart of one of the most prominent shopping destinations in the country, offers tenants excellent visibility along a thoroughfare that’s utilized daily by residents, commuters, and shoppers alike, given the borough’s prime access to four major malls and several major arteries to New York City,” said Jamie Sackeim, one of the leasing agents for the property.
Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera could not immediately be reached for comment.
