Governor's wife kicks off Autism Awareness Month with a proclamation and school tour
New Jersey's first lady, Mary Pat Christie, announced her personal commitment to helping children with autism by visiting the EPIC School. This was the first school she has toured, and she plans to visit other schools in the state during Autism Awareness Month. During the tour, she met students and received many thank-you cards, flowers and gifts. The first lady presented a proclamation to executive director Miriam Cotto and told the crowd, "I am excited to take this on as a cause and I am learning so much that you all already know."
