Paramus Deli Worker Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Kids At YMCA
Timothy Smith, 42, is accused of sexually assaulting 6 victims who are between 6 and 9 years old.

PARAMUS, NJ — A borough deli worker is accused of sexually assaulting six children at a Bergen County YMCA, authorities announced.
Timothy Smith, 42, who lives at the YMCA at 360 Main St. in Hackensack, was charged with six counts each of second-degree sexual assault and child endangerment, said Capt. Peter Busciglio of the Hackensack Police Department.
The incidents occurred Feb. 16 and were reported to police that day, Busciglio said.

Police interviewed the six victims over the next two days with help from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Witnesses were also interviewed, the captain said.
Police found him at the YMCA Friday morning, arrested him and took him back to police department headquarters, Busciglio said.

Smith works in the deli at the ShopRite in Paramus on Route 4 East.
