Paramus Girl Reports Attempted Luring Monday Morning, Police Say

Man in a two-door, navy blue car with tinted windows waved to the girl to go to the car, authorities report.

A girl reported that a man tried to lure her over to his car Monday morning, police said.

On Monday shortly after 8:30 a.m. the Paramus Police Department responded to Ridgewood Avenue and Stevens Court on a “suspicious occurrence,” said Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

A pre-teen girl reported that a man pulled up to her in a two-door, newer model, navy blue car with tinted windows and attempted to wave her over to the car, Ehrenberg said.

The man did not say anything to the girl and did not get out of the car, police said.

The girl immediately ran home and told police what happened, Ehrenberg said.

The man is described as white, approximately 30 years old with ”spikey” black hair, and glasses. The car left the area prior to police arriving.
