Paramus Police Communications Coordinator Dies

Sean Benson Sr., the Paramus Police Department’s communications coordinator and an active member of the Paramus Fire Department, has died.

The Paramus Fire Department announced Benson’s death on their Facebook page Saturday.

Benson was an active member of the Paramus Fire Department since 1983 and was chief in 2000. He worked for the Paramus Police Department since 1982, and was the communications specialist for the Paramus Office of Emergency Management.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Paramus. At the conclusion of the funeral mass, visitors will be escorted to George Washington Memorial Park to await the procession for interment.
