Police Remove World War II Mortar Shell From Paramus Home
Police said finding such explosives is 'common.'

PARAMUS, N.J. — Police removed a World War II-era mortar shell from a borough home Tuesday.
A woman found the 60-mm shell when she was going through boxes that had belonged to her father, police said.
Police said that finding such explosives is a "common occurrence," and anyone who finds suspicious looking war surplus should contact their local police department.
