Servicewomen To Get Makeovers At Garden State Plaza Saturday

Bergen County YMCA is co-sponsoring Operation Makeover for nine veterans.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Nine servicewomen will gets makeovers at the Garden State Plaza Saturday as part of a giving back program sponsored by the YWCA of Bergen County and the shopping center.

Operation Makeover is giving free makeovers to the women. They and their new looks will be revealed at a special event Saturday at 1 p.m.

Several retailers will offer fashion, styling, and makeup tips at the event. The makeovers and tips are being offered to help servicewomen improve their opportunities for post-service employment.

"Transitioning back into civilian employment, education, and trailing after completing military service can be challenging, especially for servicewomen," said Marie Aronsohn of the YWCA.
