Severe Thunderstorms In The Forecast For Tonight

Severe thunderstorms could hit Bergen County tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Bergen and Passaic counties tonight. The heavy rain could cause isolated flash flooding, although the chance is low, the NWS stated in an alert.

Weather.com is predicting the chance of rain to steadily increase this afternoon and evening beginning at 6 p.m.

There is a 95 percent chance that a severe thunderstorm could hit at 10 p.m.

The rain is expected to stick around until midnight Friday.
