Teen In Route 3 Crash Flown To Hospital: Report
19-year-old lost control of his vehicle at 6:30 a.m., police said.

A 19-year-old Jersey City man was airlifted to the hospital Tuesday morning after his car flipped over a guard rail on Route 3, police said.
The man was driving on Route 3 west near MetLife Stadium at approximately 6:30 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, East Rutherford Police Deputy Chief Ed Bury told NJ.com.
The driver lost control, drove onto the grass median, and hit a guard rail, Bury told the website; it is not clear exactly why he lost control.

The car flipped onto Route 3 east, causing a five-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer, pickup truck, and a box truck, the website reported.
The teenager was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center via helicopter. Authorities plan to speak to him to determine what caused the crash.
