Tree Planting at the Bergen County Academies

City of Hackensack and the Bergen County Academies team up to celebrate Arbor Day

Hackensack, NJ – The rain subsided and the skies brightened a bit just in time for a very special Tree Planting Ceremony at the Bergen County Academies on Hackensack Avenue in Hackensack. Thanks to the City of Hackensack and the Shade Tree Advisory Committee, the Bergen County Academies has a beautiful new plum tree which will bring pleasure to many for years to come.

The tree was donated in celebration of Arbor Day 2018 and dedicated in a proclamation by Mayor John Labrosse on Friday, April 27th. The ceremony was also attended by Principal Russell Davis, Vice Principal Raymond Bath, Supervisor Michelle Pinke and FFA Advisor Clare Kennedy. FFA students from the Academies helped plant the tree alongside Mayor Labrosse, Councilmember Von Rudenborg as well as other members of the township, DPW and school community.

The Bergen County Academies community is very grateful to Hackensack, "Tree City U.S.A.", for the gift of this lovely tree.
