Judith Randazzo, 48, stole the pocketbook of the singer of the band that performed at the Orange Lantern Bar Aug. 28, police said.

PARAMUS, N.J. — Police arrested a woman earlier this month after investigating the theft of a purse at a Paramus bar last August.
Judith Randazzo, 48, of Edgewater, was charged with theft after police said she stole the pocketbook belonging to the singer of the band that was performing at the Orange Lantern Bar, said police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.
Security cameras captured pictures of Randazzo reaching behind the counter and stealing the purse at 12:25 a.m. Aug. 28, the chief said.

Detective Nicholas Luciano "worked tirelessly" to identify the person, now said to be Randazzo, including posting her picture on social media, Ehrenberg said.
Luciano developed information that identified Randazzo as the suspect and that she lived at several addresses, the chief said. Paramus detectives were not able to find Randazzo, but issued a warrant for her arrest in the National Criminal Information Computer.

The West New York Police Department had contact with Randazzo regarding a parking violation and learned about the warrant, police said.
Randazzo was arrested Jan. 18 and released on $5,000 bail, Ehrenberg said.
