YMCA Honors Paramus Teen For Her Exemplary Character

15 teenagers were honored as part of the Y's Youth Character Awards.

PARAMUS, NJ — A borough teenager was honored by the Wyckoff Family YMCA recently for her exemplary character and commitment to community service as part of the organization's Youth Character Awards.

Laura Park is the "embodiment of the Y's cornerstones of character: Caring, honesty, respect and responsibility." Fourteen other teenagers were also honored.

In related news, the Y's Link program for seventh-and eighth-graders has been renamed Bridge. The program runs on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m.; covered topics include nutrition, peer pressure, stress, and substance abuse.
