$1.3M In Emergency Funds Needed For Parsippany Retirees' Sick Pay
Council will vote on five-year plan Dec. 15.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council will need to vote Dec. 15 to add more than $1.3 million in emergency funds to the next five years’ worth of budgets to fulfill obligations of accrued sick and vacation pay.
The ordinance up for vote calls for $1,363,585 in emergency appropriations, which will be divided by five and equally added to the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 budgets.
“It is not necessarily the retirees from just 2015,” said Parsippany Director of Finance Ann Cucci, “but could include retirees who elected to spread their payments throughout a few years.”
